Define your rules
Set your limits before emotions enter the equation — Maximum Daily Loss, Daily Profit Target, Profit Protection, Maximum Trades.
LimitPact helps futures traders define their risk rules before the session begins — and enforce them when emotions take over.

Before the market opens, you know exactly where you should stop. After a losing trade, a winning streak, or a large unrealized profit, those predefined limits become much harder to respect.
LimitPact turns the discipline rules you set while thinking clearly into safeguards that hold when emotion takes over.

Securely connect a supported trading account. For Tradovate, the planned integration uses the official OAuth authorization flow.
LimitPact monitors relevant account activity and P&L against your predefined rules throughout the session.
When a rule is triggered, LimitPact activates the configured protection mechanism locally on your computer.
Every rule maps to a live monitor inside the app. These are the same cards traders see during a session.
Set the maximum you're willing to lose in a day. When the limit is reached, LimitPact can activate your configured protection.
Reach a strong profit and LimitPact can protect part of the day's gains once a configured threshold is crossed.
Define when the planned objective for the day has been reached, so you can step away with the session won.
Cap the number of trades per session to prevent overtrading after the plan for the day is done.
LimitPact runs as a lightweight Windows application beside your trading platform — monitoring, never intervening in your orders.

LimitPact is being developed to connect to Tradovate through the official OAuth authorization flow. The integration is designed to use read-only account access to monitor the account activity and P&L required by LimitPact's protection rules.
Users authenticate through the official authorization flow — never inside LimitPact.
Only the account information required for monitoring is requested.
LimitPact does not submit, modify, or cancel trades through the API.
LimitPact does not collect or store your Tradovate username or password.
The Tradovate integration supplies the account information LimitPact needs. LimitPact evaluates that information against your predefined rules, and the protection mechanism is enforced locally on your computer.
Tradovate is never asked to lock your account or to cancel orders. The distinction between account monitoring and local enforcement is deliberate and complete.
LimitPact is designed with a conservative, minimal-access posture. The product requests only what its protection rules require — and nothing more.
LimitPact makes no claim of third-party certification. Security practices will be documented as the product matures and are described here only where accurate today.
Explains what happened after the session. Essential for learning — but it acts once the trades are already done.
After the tradeHelps protect your discipline while the session is happening. Complementary to a journal, fundamentally different in purpose.
During the sessionNo. LimitPact does not require API permission to submit, modify, or cancel orders. It reads account information for monitoring only.

LimitPact is being built for futures traders who want stronger control over their risk, discipline, and trading behavior.
